Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Stadio Luigi Ferraris will host Friday’s Serie A game between Genoa and Inter, the two teams with totally different ambitions in the remainder of the season. The Rossoblu are fighting hard to secure the Serie A survival, while the Nerazzurri are eager to defend their title. All Criscito, Bani, Piccoli, and Vanheusden should miss out with injuries, but there are no suspended players for the hosts, who have drawn each of their last four league fixtures.
Inter, on the other hand, aim to make amend for a shocking 2-0 loss to Sassuolo, and seeing that Genoa suit Simone Inzaghi’s troops, away win should be considered. You should know that the Nerazzurri are eyeing their eighth consecutive win over the Rossoblu. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the reigning champions.
Highlighted Player (Mattia Destro):
Mattia Destro started his youth career at Ascoli, but in 2005 he moved to Inter. The Italian attacker, though, made his debut in the Serie A with Genoa in the 2010/2011 season. He scored 2 goals in 16 appearances for the Rossoblu and at the end of the season he signed a deal with Siena. Destro netted 12 goals for Siena in 30 league appearances for the club and on 30 July, 2012 he joined fellow Serie A team Roma for a fee of €8.5 million.
The Italian footballer made his debut for the capital club on 2 September, 2012 in a 3-1 victory over Inter. Destro scored 24 goals for Roma between 2012 and 2015 and after ending his loan spell with Milan he joined Bologna on 20 August, 2015.
Speaking of his international career, the Bologna forward has 15 caps for Italy U21 and he made his debut for the senior team on 15 August, 2012 against England at Wembley Stadium. He made Italy’s 2014 provisional FIFA World Cup squad, but he eventually failed to make the final roster.
Highlighted Team (Inter):
Internazionale Milano, known as Internazionale, Inter or Inter named Milan, is a football club from Italy, founded on March 9, 1908 by a number of "rebels" who did not like in the regulations of the Milan Cricket and Football Club, now known as AC Milan. The main objection was that no foreign players were allowed. In 1928 the club merged with US Milanese and strongly entered a time when Ambrosiana-Inter survived.
The club, nicknamed the Nerazzurri or the blue / blacks has had many successes. This is how Inter Milan won 18 national titles, seven times the Italian Cup, the UEFA Cup 3x, and 3x times the Champions League, formerly known as the European Cup I.
