Our prediction for this Serie A match:
After dropping two points in a 2-2 draw with Genoa, Inter will be looking to register their first win of the season when they welcome Lecce to their Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday evening. The Nerazzurri are likely to go all guns blazing at the Giallorossi, but they will have to do it without summer signing Piotr Zielinski, who remains in the recovery room alongside Stefan de Vrij.
Lecce, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-0 loss to Atalanta, meaning that Inter will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. Both Lassana Coulibaly and Lameck Banda are pushing for a start as Luca Gotti is expected to shuffle his pack following the poor performance in the season opener. Midfielder Mohamed Kaba remains on the sidelines with an ACL injury. Last time out Inter defeated Lecce 2-0 at "Meazza".
Highlighted Player (Hakan Calhanoglu):
Hakan Calhanoglu is another one in the long line of Turkish footballers who were born in Germany, so it is hardly surprising he came to prominence thanks to his performances in Bundesliga. The attacking midfielder with great vision and very good goalscoring record started his professional career at Karlsruher, scoring impressive 17 goals in 50 league outings to earn a move to Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The spell at Imtech Arena was merely a stepping stone for bigger things as 11 goals in his debut top flight campaign persuaded Bayer Leverkusen to splash nearly €15 million on his services. That proved a very good investment as Calhanoglu continued the rich vein of form, and it is now a matter of time before he joins one of European powerhouses.
The midfield maestro had a bright start to his career in the Turkey national team, scoring 5 goals in first 16 caps, and chances are he will become a leader for Milli Takim in the foreseeable future.
Highlighted Team (Lecce):
When you imagine a yellow-red shirt, Lecce must be the first club that comes to your mind. Founded back in 1908, Lecce are Italian club that will compete in the Serie A in the 2019/2020 season. The Giallorossi return to the Italian top flight following a seven-year absence and, as always, they will host their rivals at Stadio Via del Mare.
The venue which was opened on September 11, 1966 can hold up to 33,876 people. The likes of Antonio Conte, Graziano Pelle, Javier Chevanton, Juan Cuadrado, Mirko Vucinic, Fabrizio Miccoli and Massimo Oddo are one of the most notable footballers who played for the Italian club in the past.
Lecce and Gallipoli face each other in the Salento derby and there have been fireworks in meetings between the two clubs since the 2009/2010 Serie B season when they first met in the league.
