Our prediction for this Serie A match:
There will be fireworks when Lazio and Roma square off against each other in the Rome derby on Matchday 6. The Biancocelesti aim to put an end to their three-game winless run, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s showdown. Ciro Immobile, who scored a late equalizer from the penalty spot in the midweek draw with Torino, is likely to lead the line for the hosts.
The Romans, on the other hand, recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Udinese on Thursday evening, with the team retaining their spot in top four. The Giallorossi are likely to go for a win in the local derby as well, and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Pellegrini is banned for the visitors, while Spinazzola remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury.
Highlighted Player (Gonzalo Escalante):
Gonzalo Escalante is an Argentine footballer who plays for Eibar in Spanish La Liga. Escalante made his senior debut for Boca Juniors, coming as a substitute in a 6-1 loss to San Martin de San Juan. After playing 11 matches for the Argentine giants, he was sent on loan to Catania on 28 August, 2014 and he scored his first professional goal against Virtus Entella on 28 October.
On 29 January Escalante signed a permanent deal with the Sicilian outfit and he played 26 games for the club in the 2015/2016 campaign. At the end of the season he joined La Liga team Eibar on loan and he made his debut for los Armeros on 24 August against Granada. He managed to find his net on his debut and six months later he signed a permanent deal with the club.
His contract with Eibar expires on 30 June, 2020. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma is a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.
The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. The Prince of Rom made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
