Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Out-of-sorts Monza will look to put an end to their five-game losing run when they take on Atalanta on Sunday afternoon. The Biancorossi failed to upset ten-man Juventus in Turin and they face yet another uphill task against Atalanta. Given that Monza have already been relegated to Serie B, backing a home win seems unwise. The likes of Keita, Zeroli, D’Ambrosio, and Izzo are major doubts, while both Pessina and Ganvoula remain in the treatment room. Defender Andrea Carboni is banned for the hosts.
The Orobici, on the other hand, dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Lecce at the weekend. Atalanta are eager to stay in the Champions League berth and they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways in the Italian top flight. Both Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini remain on the sidelines with injuries for the visiting team, while Sead Kolasinac will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
