Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Monza will be aiming to build on a 2-1 win over Udinese when they take on Empoli in the Serie A round 37. The Biancorossi failed to secure the Serie A survival, but they obviously want to finish the season in style. Defender Pedro Pereira serves a one-game ban due to the accumulation of yellow cards, while the likes of Pessina, Izzo, Gagliardini, Ganvoula, and D’Ambrosio are expected to miss out with injuries.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Parma and they managed to get one. Empoli are determined to escape the relegation zone and despite Monza’s signs of improvement, we are tempted to bet on the visitors, who want this win more than the hosts. Even though there are no fresh injury worries in the away team, midfielder Faustino Anjorin could sneak into the starting XI after scoring the winner as a substitute against Parma.
