Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Stadio Luigi Ferraris will host Saturday’s football match between Sampdoria and Parma, the two teams who have nothing to play for on the last day of the season. La Samp missed out on a place in European competitions, but given their display in a 1-0 win over Udinese, it is more than obvious that they want to finish the season in style. Thorsby is banned for the hosts, while both Ramirez and Adrien Silva are sidelined through injuries.
The Gli Emiliani, on the other hand, are having a season for forget as they failed to secure the Serie A survival. Given the number of absentees in the away team, we believe that punters can find value in betting on Sampdoria. Kurtic is suspended for the visitors, while all Iacoponi, Man, Caviglia, Pezzella, Osorio, Inglese, Zirkzee, Karamoh, Mihaila, and Cyprien remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Vasco Regini):
Vasco Regini started his senior career at Cesena, but he made no more than ten appearances for the club (league) from 2007 to 2009. In 2009 he moved to Sampdoria and after ending his loan spells with the likes of Foggia and Empoli he returned to Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Vasco Regini played for Napoli on loan as well, but he made only one appearance for the Partenopei in the Italian elite division. The Italian footballer, who was born in Cesena on September 9, 1990, has established himself as first-team regular at Sampdoria and you should know that he played 34 games for La Samp in the 2016/2017 Serie A campaign.
Vasco Regini has 4 caps for Italy U20 team and he played for the U20 team in the past as well. His main position is left back, but he is used as both left winger and centre-back as well. The left-footed player has a contract with Sampdoria which expires on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Parma):
Founded in 1913, Parma is considered one of the most famous Italian clubs. The Gialloblu play home games in white shirts with a dark blue cross and dark blue shorts. Speaking of their away colours, Parma footballers wear yellow-blue kits on the travels. Parma have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but they did well to lift the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1994/1995, 1998/1999).
To make things even better for Parma fans, the Gialloblu won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1992/1993 season, with the team beating Royal Antwerp in the title game 3-1. A number of top-class footballers played for Parma in the past: Hernan Crespo, Roberto Mancini, Juan Veron, Roberto Mancini, Dino Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon.
The Gialloblu welcome their rivals at Stadio Ennio Tardini, which was opened in 1923. The venue can hold up to 27,906 spectators. Bologna are considered Parma’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
