Fiorentina
Following a 1-0 loss to Roma, Verona will be aiming to escape the relegation zone when they take on Fiorentina on Monday. The Mastini have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team sharing the spoils with Lazio, beating Salernitana, while losing to AS Roma, and, no doubt, they need to improve their game if they are to secure yet another Serie A survival.
The Viola, on the other hand, are eyeing their first league win since July 1, 2023. Fiorentina, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from the match. As for the away team, key defender Nikola Milenkovic suffered an injury in a 1-1 draw with Empoli, with Igor likely to replace him in the starting XI. There are no other selection worries in the visiting team.

Christian Kouame is an Ivory Coast international who has been playing for Serie A side Genoa since 2018. Kouame started his youth career at Prato and after ending his loan spells with the likes of Sassuolo and Inter, he returned to Stadio Lungobisenzio.
The 185-cm-tall forward made his professional debut with Prato on September 6, 2015 in a 2-1 loss to Pisa. Christian Kouame started the match, but he was replaced by Alberto Aladje after 66 minutes. The Genoa attacker, though, has yet to earn a call-up for the Ivory Coast national team. He has two caps for the Ivory Coast U23 team, but he is still eyeing his senior team debut.
His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. The Genoa footballer was born in Abijan on December 6, 1997 and he has a contract with the Rossoblu until June 30, 2023.

The “Mastini” are well known for their yellow and blue jerseys and they welcome their opponents at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. Hellas Verona share rivalry with Chievo Verona and the two local rivals face each other in the “Derby della Scala”.
The first derby of Verona was played on November 18, 2001, with Hellas Verona emerging triumphant (3-2). In 1985 the Mastini won their first and only Scudetto, with the team finishing the season in top position in the Serie A standings, four points clear of second-placed Torino.
