Our prediction for this Sweden Allsvenskan match:
Sunday’s football game at Studenternas IP pits together Sirius and Goteborg, the two teams who are level on points in the Allsvenskan table. Sirius have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating Elfsborg, sharing the spoils with AIK, while losing to Hacken. Both August Ahlin and Patrick Nwadike are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
Goteborg, on the other hand, did well to beat Sundsvall 2-0 before the international break, but defeating Sirius away from home is easier said than done. A man to watch in the away side will be experienced forward Marcus Berg, who scored a brace in the last league match, while Sebastian Eriksson continues to miss out through injury. Anyhow, the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw.
Highlighted Player (Marcus Berg):
Marcus Berg is a Swedish footballer who was born on 17 August, 1986. The 184-cm-tall attacker played for the likes of Torsby, Velen and Goteborg during his youth career and he continued playing for the Anglarna at senior level.
Marcus Berg joined Groningen in 2007 and two years later he moved to Bundesliga, signing a deal with Hamburger SV. After spending the 2010/2011 season on loan at PSV, the Swedish striker made 13 appearances more for Hamburg and on 8 July, 2013 he joined Panathinaikos. Berg signed a four-year deal with the Greek outfit and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the team on his debut against Panetolikos.
The Swedish striker scored 15 goals in the 2013/2014 Greek Superleague campaign with Panathinaikos. Berg has 19 appearances for Sweden U21 team and he made his 42nd for the first team at the 2016 European Championship finals in France. The Swedish forward is well known for his heading ability.
Highlighted Team (Goteborg):
IFK Goteborg are yet another successful Swedish club. The Anglarna won their 18th national championship in 2007, but that was their only trophy of the 21st century. IFK Goteborg clinched the UEFA Cup trophy on two occasions (1981/82 and 1986/87), with the team making it to the European Cup semis in both 1985/86 and 1992/1993 season.
Swedish striker Marcus Berg is one of the club’s most notable players. Berg played 53 games for the Anglarna, scoring 21 goals in the league for the club.
