Our prediction for this Taca de Portugal match:
Estadio Nacional do Jamor will be the centre of attention when Benfica and Sporting CP lock horns in the Taca de Portugal final. After losing the Primeira Liga title on the last day of the season, the Eagles must be hungry for revenge and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Lions. The likes of Amdouni, Aursnes, Bah, Manu, and Sanches are out of contention with injuries for the nominal hosts.
The capital club, on the other hand, are eager to win the double after lifting the Primeira Liga trophy, but they will have a big fish to fry in the Lisbon derby. As Benfica are eager to save the season by going all the way in the Taca de Portugal, we are tempted to place our bets on Angel Di Maria and Co. Speaking of the nominal visitors, defender Ousmane Diomande is a major doubt and the 21-year-old defender will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
