Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melendez will be packed when Colombia and Paraguay lock horns in a highly-anticipated World Cup qualifier. Colombia suffered a 2-1 loss to Brazil in round 13, with the team extending their losing run to three games. However, Wednesday’s clash could turn their fortunes around in the qualifiers for the upcoming showpiece tournament. Both Juan Cabal and Yerson Mosquera remain in the recovery room, while Paraguay defenders should have Liverpool ace Luis Diaz at bay.
La Albirroja, on the other hand, defeated Chile at home thanks to Omar Alderete’s goal. Paraguay, though, are not regarded as good travellers and that is the main reason why we are going to bet on Colombia. Captain Gustavo Gomez has been ruled out with injury, with Hugo Cuenca missing out the trip to Barranquilla as well. Newcastle United ace Miguel Almiron should keep his place in the starting XI.
