Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Israel will be aiming to build on a thrilling 4-0 win over Moldova when they face Italy at Nagyerdei Stadion. Israel are determined to retain second place in the standings and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from Monday’s clash. A man to watch in the home team will be new Villarreal signing Manor Solomon, who scored one goal and provided one assist in the crushing of Moldova.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, rolled over Estonia 5-0 on Friday evening to keep their World Cup qualifying hopes alive. Italy are eager to overtake Israel in second place in Group I and with new boss Genaro Gattuso bringing fresh energy to the team, away win should be considered. This game will be played on a neutral location, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on Italy. Atletico Madrid striker Giacomo Raspadori is pushing for a start following his excellent performance against Estonia.
Highlighted Player (Sandro Tonali):

After starting his youth career at Piacenza back in 2009, Sandro Tonali moved to Brescia three years later. The 181-cm-tall defender has been playing for le Rondinelle ever since and it has to be noted that he made his debut with the Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit on August 26, 2017 in a 2-1 defeat to Avellino.
Sandro Tonali scored his first ever league goal for Brescia in a 4-2 loss to Salernitana on April 28, 2018. The talented midfielder, who was born in Lodi on May 8, 2000, represents Italy U21 team in international matches.
He made his debut with the Italy U21 national team on June 19, 2019 in a 1-0 defeat to Poland. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. Sandro’s preferred foot is right and his contract with Brescia should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Israel):

Israel are the direct successor of the Mandatory Palestine national football team. The Israelis received full UEFA membership in 1994, 20 years after leaving AFC and they have been facing European sides in the World Cup qualifiers ever since. Israel participated at the 1970 FIFA World Cup finals in Mexico, but they failed to make it to the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament.
The Israeli national football team have yet to qualify for the final stages of the European Championship, but they made it to the quarter-finals of the Olympics on two occasions (1968, 1976). Israel play their home games at both Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa and Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem.
Yossi Benayoun is the most famous and the most capped Israeli footballer and it has to be noted that the pacey midfielder played for the likes of Racing Santander, West Ham United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the past. Israel play their home games in blue shirts and blue shorts, whilst they wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels.
