Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Mauritius and Eswatini square off against each other at Cote d’Or National Sports Complex in what is expected to be a close World Cup qualifier. Mauritius are on a three-game losing run in all competitions and, as a result, the odds for away win have been dropping. Experienced midfielder Kevin Bru sustained an injury in a 2-1 loss to Libya, with David Aristide being ready to step up.
Dominic Kunene’s men, on the other hand, failed to spoil Angola’s party in Luanda, with Mabulu scoring the only goal of the match after just two minutes. Goalkeeper Ncamiso Dlamini is pushing for a start after substituting fellow shot-stopper Sibuciso Dlamini on the stroke of half-time against Angola. Anyhow, a low-scoring affair is on the horizon in St Pierre as Eswatini are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach. Bear in mind, though, that Eswatini defeated Mauritius 3-0 in the previous meeting between the two sides.
