Namibia
Senegal will be aiming to keep their 100% record in Group H intact when they host Namibia to Stade Lat Dior on Saturday evening. The Lions of Teranga impressed in back-to-back wins over Togo (2-0) and Congo (3-1), and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win their third group game. A man to watch in the home team will be Senegal superstar Sadio Mane, with PSG duo Idrissa Gueye – Abdou Diallo making the cut as well.
In-form Watford winger Ismaila Star should keep his place in the starting XI. Namibia, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Togo, but Senegal will pose a much bigger threat for the visitors than their previous rivals. When the two teams met at the COSAFA Cup earlier in 2021 Namibia defeated Senegal 2-1, meaning that the Lions of Teranga are hungry for revenge.

Sadio Mane is a Senegalese footballer who plays for Liverpool as a winger. Mane was born in Sedhiou Senegal on April 10, 1992, but he made his senior debut at French club Metz. In 2012 he moved to Red Bull Salzburg, with the pacey winger scoring 31 goals in 63 appearances for the club in the Austrian Bundesliga.
Mane then decided to take a step forward in his career as he joined famous Premier League club Liverpool for a fee of £34 million, signing a five-year contract with the Reds. The Senegal international quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Liverpool and, no doubt, he helped the Anfield outfit make it to the 2017/2018 Champions League final.
Speaking of trophies, Sadio Mane won the Austrian Bundesliga with Salzburg in the 2013/2014 season. In 2017 he was named Liverpool player of the year for the 2016/2017 season. Sadio Mane made his Senegal debut in 2012 and he was part of the Senegal team that participated at the 2012 Olympic tournament.

Back in 1989 Namibia faced neighbouring country Angola in their first ever international game. Namibia made their international debut under the name of South-West Africa, with the team losing to the Palancas Negras 1-0.
On March 21, 1990 Namibia declared independence from South Africa and only two days later they suffered a 5-1 loss to Zimbabwe in their first game as an independent country. The Brave Warriors have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals, but in 2019 they will take part at the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in the national team’s history.
Namibia are well known for their blue home kit, whilst they wear white jerseys and white shorts when playing on the travels. The Brave Warriors registered their biggest win against Benin (8-2) on July 15, 2000, with the team suffering their heaviest loss to Egypt (2-8) one year later (July 13, 2001). Namibia are affiliated to the CAF – Confederation of African Football.
