Our prediction for this Championship match:
The City Ground will host Saturday’s football match between Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth. The Reds quickly bounced back from the heavy FA Cup defeat (1-5) to Swansea City, with the team beating both Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers, while sharing the spoils with Barnsley. Nottingham Forest are eager to extend their winning run in the Championship to three games, but the match against Bournemouth will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. January signing Glenn Murray has already started paying off, and we are positive that the 37-year-old is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
The Cherries, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Birmingham City, and they managed to get one. Bournemouth did well to put an end to their four-game winless run, and, to make things even better for the fans, they eliminated Burnley in the FA Cup last 16 in midweek. Given Bournemouth’s attacking potential and Forest’s current form, both teams to score betting option should be considered. New signing Shane Long is widely expected to lead the line for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Sammy Ameobi):
Sammy Ameobi is the younger brother of a famoust Newcastle United player Shola. Sammy is a product of Newcastle United football academy as well and he scored two goals in 56 appearances for the first team. The pacey attacker played for the likes of Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers on loan in the past before signing a permanent deal with the Trotters on July 14, 2017.
Sammy Ameobi was born in Newcastle upon Tyne on May 1, 1992, but he has two caps for Nigeria U20 team. The left-footed footballer played for the England U21 team as well, but he has yet to make his senior debut for the Three Lions. Ameobi’s main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well.
Sammy Ameobi made his Bolton debut on September 3, 2016 against Southend and it has to be noted that he scored two goals in 20 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. At the end of the season Bolton were promoted to the Championship.
Highlighted Team (Bournemouth):
Bournemouth are a professional football club that was formed back in 1890. The Cherries secured promotion to the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season, with the team making it to the English top flight for the first time ever.
Bournemouth play their home games at Dean Court and the capacity of the stadium is 11,469.
The Cherries enjoyed a very successful season on their Premier League debut, with the team beating the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the national championship. Glenn Murray scored the winner for Bournemouth in the 1-0 win over the capital club at Stamford Bridge and that is probably the greatest victory in the club’s history.
Bournemouth have been participating in the FA Cup since 1913, but they have yet to win the trophy in the prestigious competition. It has to be noted that the club’s original name Boscombe Athletic Football Club was changed to Bournemouth back in 1923 as the club owners wanted the Cherries to be more representative of the district.
