Our prediction for this Serie A match:
All eyes will be on Stadio Luigi Ferraris when Genoa and Sampdoria face each other in the Derby della Lanterna. The Rossoblu failed to spoil Inter’s party at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza at the weekend, but despite the 3-0 defeat, they remained in the middle of the Serie A table. Genoa are on the right track to secure the elite division survival, and seeing that they are eight points clear of the relegation zone, Davide Ballardini’s troops should be happy with one point from the local derby.
The likes of Pellegrini, Biraschi, and Cassata are all injured for the hosts. La Samp, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Lazio and Atalanta. Claudio Ranieri’s troops are eager to get back on course in the national championship, but they should be happy with one point from the midweek showdown as well. Ernesto Torregrosa is rated doubtful for the match.
