Huesca
Estadio Ramon de Carranza will host Saturday’s football game between Cadiz and Huesca. The Yellow Submarine are stuck in the middle of the standings, but it is more than obvious that they want to finish the season in the top half of the table. Cadiz proved their worth in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Granada, and they are surely capable of matching Huesca at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Espino returns from suspension, while all Sanchez, Perea, Fernandez, and Quezada are out of contention through injuries.
Huesca, on the other hand, are eager to escape the relegation zone. Pacheta’s men picked up vital three points from the Real Sociedad game, and seeing that Cadiz have little to play for in the remainder of the season, we are tempted to put our money on the relegation strugglers. Both Jorge Pulido and Jaime Seoane are banned for the visitors, while Ontiveros and Valera are injured.
Highlighted Player (Alvaro Gimenez):
Alvaro Gimenez is a product of Elche football school who plays for fellow La Liga side Cadiz as a forward. Alvaro played for several Spanish clubs in the past, including Elche, Valencia B, Torrellano, Mallorca, Alcorcon, Almeria, before joining Birmingham City in the 2019/20 season.
After scoring only three goals in 24 appearances for the Blues in the Championship, Alvaro Gimenez returned to Spain at the end of the season, signing a deal with La Liga newcomers Cadiz. The Spanish attacker made his debut with the “Yellow Submarine” on October 4, 2020 in a 1-1 draw with Granada. His main position is centre-forward, but he is used as both left and right winger as well.
Gimenez’s preferred foot is left, and his contract with Cadiz should expire on June 30, 2023. The Cadiz attacker has three caps with the Spain U17 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team.

Huesca are a Spanish club that compete in La Liga, the Spanish top flight. The club was originally founded in 1910, but in 1940 it was renamed Union Deportiva. In 1956 the club disappeared due to financial problems, but four years later Sociedad Deportiva Huesca was born. Huesca are well known for their blaugrana colors as their founding members were Barcelona fans.
The club welcome their rivals at El Alcoraz and it has to be noted that the capacity of the stadium is 5,500. Despite the fact that El Alcoraz can hold up to 5,500 people in December 2014 7,600 spectators watched the game between Huesca and Barcelona. Huesca will make their first ever appearance in Primera Division in the 2018/2019 season.
The likes of Leo Franco, Luis Sastre and Ruben Castro are some of the most notable footballers that played for Huesca. Real Zaragoza are considered Huesca’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in Derbi Aragones.
