Our prediction for this Serie A match:
Empoli and Bologna go head to head at Stadio Carlo Castellani in the Serie A round 6. Empoli aim to build on a 2-0 win over Cagliari, which helped them climb to 11th place in the standings. The newcomers, though, produce much better showings on the travels than at home ground, which is probably the main reason why we are not tempted to put our money on Aurelio Andreazzoli’s troops. Both Tonelli and Fiamozzi are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, head into the match following an entertaining 2-2 draw with Genoa. Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic will watch the game from the stands as he was sent off in the midweek draw, but Marko Arnautovic and Co. are surely capable of picking up one point from Saturday’s clash. Both Kingsley and Schouten are out of contention with injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Stefano Denswil):
Stefano Denswil is a product of Ajax football academy. The Dutch centre-back, who was born in Zaandam on May 7, 1993, scored one goal in 22 appearances in the Eredivisie for Ajax before joining Club Brugge in 2015. Denswil quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Club Brugge and it has to be noted that he scored his first goal for the Blauw-Zwart in December 2015 in a 4-1 loss to Anderlecht.
Speaking of his international career, Stefano Denswil has seven caps with Netherlands U21 team, but, outside of football, the Club Brugge practices kickboxing. Stefano Denswil’s preferred foot is left, but he is not used as a left-back. His main position is centre-back and his contract with Club Brugge should expire in June, 2020.
Denswil has three Eredivisie titles with Ajax and he won his second Belgian Pro League trophy with Club Brugge in the 2017/2018 season. Denswil wears No. 24 jersey at the Jan Breydel Stadium outfit.
Highlighted Team (Bologna):
Bologna FC 1909 is an Italian football club founded in 1909 and playing in the Serie A. The club hosts its games in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara which holds a capacity of 40500 seats. The stadium is named after their former chairman. The club plays its home games in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara since 1927.
The club colors of Bologna are blue and red and is one of the most successful football clubs in Italy winning the Serie A 7times and the Coppa Italia 2 times in the clubs history. Lately Bologna is not performing like their glory times anymore. The club is often relegated to the Serie B but manages to get back to the Serie A on and off. Another important person in the club is Joey Saputo, Canadian but with Italian roots, which is owner of Bologna.
Well known football players that wore the blue red colors of Bologna in their career are: Falcone, Dokovic, Nakata, Gillet, Pagliuca, Vieri and Zagorakis.
