Nantes and Olympique Marseille go head to head at Stade de la Beaujoire on day 16 of the new Ligue 1 campaign. Les Canaris came from behind to share the spoils with Lille at the weekend, but they extended their winless run to four games. Nantes aim to get back on course as soon as possible, but they will have a big fish to fry in the midweek clash.
Defender Fabio da Silva, who was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Lille, misses out through suspension, while all Traore, Corchia, Emond, and Pereira De Sa are sidelined with injuries. OM, on the other hand, recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Troyes, with Pol Lirola breaking the deadlock after 74 minutes. Since Turkey international Cengiz Under is the only absentee in the away team, we are tempted to put our money on Jorge Sampaoli’s troops, who are eyeing a place in the Champions League.

Alban Lafont is a French goalkeeper who plays for Ligue 1 side Toulouse. Born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Lafont joined AS Lattoise youth school at the age of nine and he stayed at the academy until 2014 when he moved to Toulouse.
The 193-cm-tall goalkeeper has established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper at Toulouse and it has to be noted that he made 36 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 season, keeping 10 clean sheets in the process. Due to his dual citizenship, Alban Lafont is eligible to represent both Burkina Faso and France on international stage, but he has yet to play for the African team.
Alban Lafont represented les Tricolores at youth level and, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of the talented shoot-stopper who was born on January 23, 1999. The rising star has a contract with Toulouse which expires on June 30, 2020.

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal. To make things even worse for the fans, the club suffered enforced relegation to the Ligue 2. Olympique de Marseille participated in the Europa League final on two occasions (1998/1999, 2003/2004), but they were beaten by Parma and Valencia respectively in the title games. OM’s home ground Stade Velodrome was opened on June 13, 1997 and the capacity of the stadium is 67.394.
