Our prediction for this Championship match:
Pride Park will host Wednesday’s Championship game between Derby and Millwall, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. The Rams aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Peterborough, but they need to keep on collecting points if they are to avoid the drop. Anyhow, we are positive that Wayne Rooney’s troops are going to leave their hearts on the field. Tom Lawrence is banned for the match, while Louie Sibley is pushing for a start after scoring a late winner at the weekend.
The Lions, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back wins over Cardiff City and QPR. The capital club aim to move closer to the playoffs berth, and seeing that both sides will go for a win, both teams to score betting option should be considered. All Benik Afobe, Sheyi Ojo, Tom Bradshaw, and Ryan Leonard are injured for the away side.
Highlighted Player (Richard Stearman):
Born in Wolverhampton, England on August 19, 1987 Richard Stearman is a defender who represented the Three Lions at youth level. Stearman has four caps for England U21 team and he played nine games for the under-17 squad as well.
The 191-cm-tall footballer is a product of Leicester City football academy and he made his first-team debut with the club on October 30, 2004 in a goalless draw with Cardiff City. The English defender scored five goals in 211 appearances in the league for the Foxes before joining Wolverhampton in the summer of 2008.
He signed a four-year deal with the Wolves and he made his debut for the club on August 9, 2008 in a 2-2 draw with Plymouth. From 2015 to 2017 he played for Fulham and at the end of the 2016/2017 Championship campaign he joined Sheffield United. Richard Sterman’s main position is centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well.
Highlighted Team (Millwall):
Based in Bermonsdey, South East London, Millwall are a football club whose supporters have often been associated with hooliganism. West Ham United are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two teams.
The Lions share rivalry with Charlton as well and the two teams first met back in 1921. The Den is Milwall’s home ground at the capacity of the stadium, which was opened in 1993, is 20.146.
The capital club did well to make it to the 2003/2004 FA Cup final, but Premier League giants Manchester United proved to be a big catch for the Lions. The Red Devils won the game 3-0, but despite suffering the heavy loss in the title game, Milwall booked their place in the UEFA Cup. However, Ferencvaros of Hungary proved to be a big catch for the English outfit in the two-legged tie.
Australia international Tim Cahill is considered one of the most notable footballers who whore Millwall shirt (1998-2004).
