Our prediction for this MLS match:
Seattle Sounders play host to Nashville at their Lumen Field in the opening match of the 2022 MLS season. The Sounders made it to the MLS Cup last 16 last season, but Real Salt Lake eventually proved to be a big catch for them. Experienced tactician Brian Schmetzer is still in charge of the team, who have big ambitions for the new MLS campaign. Peru international Raul Ruidiaz, who scored 17 goals last season, will be the man to watch in the home team.
Nashville, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Philadelphia Union in their last warm-up game. The visitors are eager to kick-off the new season in style, but beating Seattle on the road is easier said than done. A close match is on the cards at Lumen Field, and we are tempted to put our money on draw. Defender Walker Zimmerman is sidelined with injury for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Jordy Delem):
Jordy Delem is a Seattle Sounders midfielder who represents Martinique on the international stage. Delem played for the likes of Club Franciscain, Arles-Avignon and Club Franciscain before joining Seattle Sounders in 2016. After making 19 appearances for Seattle Sounders 2 the Martinique footballer signed a first team deal with the MLS club in March, 2017.
It has to be noted that he played as a right back on his Seattle debut against Atlanta United (0-0). Jordy Delem represented Martinique at the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, but he failed to impress in a 3-1 loss to Mexico. The 180-cm-tall player was born in Le Francois, Martinique and he has a contract with Seattle Sounders which expires in December, 2017.
His main position is defensive midfield, but, as previously mentioned, he is capable of playing as a full back as well. Jordy Delem has both Martinique and France passports, but he decided to represent les Matinino on the international stage.
