France play host to Denmark at Stade de France in a highly-anticipated UEFA Nations League game. Les Tricolores aim to kick off their Nations League campaign in style, but Friday’s clash will be anything but a walk in the park for the home team. Milan striker Olivier Giroud has been left out of the squad, while Karim Benzema could be rested after helping Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions League final. As always, a man to watch in the home team will be Kylian Mbappe, who has extended his contract with PSG.
The Danes, on the other hand, defeated Serbia 3-0 on Christian Eriksen’s return from illness. The Scandinavian outfit impressed in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, but seeing that France are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that Kasper Hjumland’s troops are going to grab something from the match. The good news for the visitors is that Barcelona attacker Martin Braithwaite has overcome his injury.

Kylian Mbappe is a French footballer who plays for Paris Saint-Germain as a forward. The French rising star began his youth career at AS Bondy and in 2013 he moved to AS Monaco. After making 12 appearances for Monaco B, Kylian Mbappe made his debut for the senior team in 2015. Mbappe quickly established himself as a regular goalscorer, with the teenager finding the net 15 times in 29 appearances in the Ligue 1 in the 2016/2017 season.
In 2017 he moved to fellow French club PSG on loan, with the option of making the deal permanent. Kylian Mbappe scored 13 goals in 27 appearances for les Parisiens in the 2017/2018 and it has to be noted that Unai Emery’s troops eventually won the national championship.
Speaking of his international career, Mbappe played an important role for France at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals, with the pacey rising star scoring a brace in a thrilling 4-3 win over Argentina in the last 16 of the showpiece tournament. The PSG attacker was born in Paris on December 20, 1998.

The Denmark national team participated at the World Cup finals on four occasions and they recorded their best result at the 1998 tournament. The Danes made it to the quarter-finals of the 1998 World Cup in France, but Brazil proved to be a big catch for the Nordic side. De Rod-Hvide did remarkably well to win the 1992 European Championship, but they were more than fortunate to qualify for the Euro 1992 finals.
Denmark finished their qualifying campaign in second place in the group, but thanks to Yugoslavia’s exclusion from the competition, the team booked their place at the Euro 1992 finals. Denmark impressed at the tournament in Sweden, with the team outplaying Germany in the title game (2-0).
Brothers Michael and Bryan Laudrup and goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel are regarded as Denmark’s most notable players.
