Our prediction for this Championship match:
Bramall Lane will host Saturday’s Championship game between Sheffield United and Millwall, the two old rivals. The Blades failed to spoil Watford’s party at Vicarage Road, but they are seen as favourites to beat the capital club in front of home fans. All Tommy Doyle, Adam Davies, Jayden Bogle, and Jack O’Connell should miss out with injuries for the home team, but key attacker Teemu Pukki is fit, and we predict that the Finland international is going to prove a handful for the opposition back-line.
Millwall, on the other hand, kicked off the new Championship campaign with a 2-0 win over Stoke City, but they suffered a shocking elimination in the EFL Cup on Tuesday as they were beaten by Cambridge United on the road. Since the Lions are not regarded as good travellers, we are tempted to put our money on Sheffield United. To make things even worse for the visitors, Wales forward Tom Bradshaw limped off with injury in the EFL Cup defeat.
Highlighted Player (Ben Osborn):
Ben Osborn is an English footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest as a midfielder. Osborn was born in Derby (England) on August 5, 1994 and he started his youth career at his hometown club Derby County. In 2003 he moved to Nottingham Forest and after spending ten years at their football academy Osborn made his first-team debut for the Reds.
He made his debut on March 29, 2014 in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town and he has been playing for the City Ground Stadium outfit ever since. Ben Osborn has one cap for England U20 team and he played for England U19 and England U18 teams in the past as well.
It has to be noted that the Nottingham Forest midfielder scored four goals, while providing seven assists for his teammates in the 2016/2017 Championship season. His main position is left midfield, but he is capable of playing as both central and attacking midfielder as well. Ben Osborn’s preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Millwall):
Based in Bermonsdey, South East London, Millwall are a football club whose supporters have often been associated with hooliganism. West Ham United are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two teams.
The Lions share rivalry with Charlton as well and the two teams first met back in 1921. The Den is Milwall’s home ground at the capacity of the stadium, which was opened in 1993, is 20.146.
The capital club did well to make it to the 2003/2004 FA Cup final, but Premier League giants Manchester United proved to be a big catch for the Lions. The Red Devils won the game 3-0, but despite suffering the heavy loss in the title game, Milwall booked their place in the UEFA Cup. However, Ferencvaros of Hungary proved to be a big catch for the English outfit in the two-legged tie.
Australia international Tim Cahill is considered one of the most notable footballers who whore Millwall shirt (1998-2004).
