Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Valley Parade will host Saturday’s League Two game between Bradford City and Stevenage, the two teams who defeated Tranmere and Newport respectively in midweek. The Bantams have found their form of late, but they need to keep on improving their game if they are to secure a top-seven finish. A man to watch in the home team will be Andy Cook, who scored a brace in the midweek triumph, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Boro, on the other hand, are eyeing their third consecutive league win. Stevenage aim to overtake Leyton in top position, but beating the in-form Bantams on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at Valley Parade, and, taking everything into account, there is a big value in betting on draw. Wales midfielder Jake Taylor could sneak into the Boro’s starting XI.
Highlighted Player (Jake Taylor):
Jake Taylor is a product of the Reading football academy who plays for Exeter City in the League Two. Taylor spent his youth career at Reading, and he continued wearing the blue and white shirt at senior level.
After scoring two goals in 31 appearances with the Royals in the league, the English footballer spent several seasons on loan at the likes of Aldershot Town, Exeter City, Cheltenham Town, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient, and Motherwell. In 2016 Jake Taylor returned to Exeter City, signing a permanent deal with the St James Park outfit.
Despite being born in Ascot, England, on December 1, 1991, Taylor represents Wales on the international stage. He has ten caps with the Wales U21 team, and he made his debut with the Dragons at the senior level in a 2-1 win over Cyprus on October 13, 2014. His primary position is central midfielder.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
