Olympique Marseille will look to stay in the title race when they take on Strasbourg in the Ligue 1 round 13. OM are on a three-game losing run, meaning that they are desperate to return to winning ways in the French top flight this weekend. Samuel Gigot remains on the sidelines though suspension, whil both Bailly and Ruiz should miss out through injuries. Le Racing, on the other hand, are eyeing their only second win of the season.
Strasbourg have been struggling in front of home fans this term (0-3-3), and given the importance of Saturday’s clash for the visiting side, we are tempted to put our money on Igor Tudor’s men. In their last meeting at Stade de la Meinau Marseille defeated Strasbourg 2-0, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. Both Nordine Kandil and Ludovic Ajorque are sidelined with injuries for the home team.

A midfielder with a keen eye for a precise pass, Adrian Thomasson is a French international who plays for Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. Thomasson is a versatile asset who can be equally deployed in a number of different positions up front, including a holding position at the centre of the park.
He began his professional career at Evian in 2012 and spent three years with Les Roses before moving to Nantes in 2015. One league match shy from entering the 100-game club, Adrien Thomasson scored nine goals for the Canaries before joining Strasbourg in the summer of 2018.
As a player who likes to hold on to the ball and build play from behind, Thomasson boasts impressive passing ability. Albeit an attacking midfielder who can play on both wings and in advanced midfield position, this French footballer also makes quite a contribution in defense.

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal. To make things even worse for the fans, the club suffered enforced relegation to the Ligue 2. Olympique de Marseille participated in the Europa League final on two occasions (1998/1999, 2003/2004), but they were beaten by Parma and Valencia respectively in the title games.
