Northampton
Gillingham and Northampton face each other at Priestfield Stadium on day 18 of the new League Two campaign. The Gills aim to escape the danger zone, but given their difficulties in front of goal, home win should not be considered. Hakeeb Adelakun should be recalled to the starting XI after coming as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Doncaster.
The Cobblers, on the other hand, aim to stay in automatic promotion berth, and seeing that Gillingham have been struggling up front of late, we predict that Jon Brady’s troops are eager to pick up all three points from the match. In their last meeting in the English third tier the two teams played out a 2-2 draw, but we are tempted to put our money on Northampton this time out as they are more of a team than Gillingham. All Shaun McWilliams, Harvey Lintott, and Akinwale Odimayo are pushing for recalls after the trio came from the bench in the FA Cup defeat to Chesterfield.

Stuart O’keefe is a an English footballer who started his senior career at Southend United. In August 2010 O’Keefe signed a one-year deal with Crystal Palace after impressing coach George Burley in a trial game against West Ham reserves.

After his loan spells with Milton Keynes Dons, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle, O’Keefe moved to Gillingham at the end of the 2018/2019 season. He made his League One debut with the club on August 3, 2019 in a 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers. His main position is central midfield, but he is used as both defensive and attacking midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right.
