Livingston and St. Mirren, the two mid-table sides, face each other at Tony Macaroni Arena in what is expected to be a close Premiership encounter. The Lions have been struggling in the national championship after the World Cup break, with the team heading into Wednesday’s clash following back-to-back defeats to Celtic (1-2) and Hibernian (0-4). Given Livingston’s shaky defence, we do not believe that home win should be considered.
Jason Holt is banned for the hosts, while Jackson Longridge is likely to replace fellow defender Dylan Bahamboula in the starting XI as the Republic of Congo international limped off with injury at the weekend. Meanwhile, the Saints aim to build on a 3-1 win over Aberdeen, and we predict that the visitors will take advantage of the current situation in Livingston’s dressing room. After ending his loan spell with Cowdenbeath, Marcus Fraser signed a deal with Ross County in 2015. Over the years, the defender has established himself as a first-team regular with the Staggies, making 26 appearances in the Scottish top flight last term.
Speaking of his international career, Fraser has five caps for the Scotland U21 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team.
