Rennes
A spot in the Coupe de France last 16 will be at stake when Olympique Marseille and Rennes take on each other at Stade Velodrome on Friday evening. OM are on a seven-game winning run in all competitions, but this match will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side. Fit-again midfielder Dimitri Payet is pushing for a start, whilst both Bailly and Tavares are back from suspensions.
Les Rouges et Noirs, on the other hand, did well to shock star-studded PSG at the weekend, with Hamari Traore scoring the only goal of the match. Beating Marseille on the road, though, is easier said than done, and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Pacey forward Jeremy Doku is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while both Omari and Bourigeaud return from suspensions. Martin Terrier is out for the rest of the season.

Dimitri Payet was born in Saint-Pierre, Reunion on 29 March 1987, but he joined Le Havre’s famous youth academy in 1999 and has since enjoyed a meteoric rise. The attacking midfielder started his professional career at Nantes, but top French clubs soon started casting admiring glances his way and he went on to represent Saint Etienne, Lille and Marseille, becoming one of Ligue 1’s leading footballers.
However, it was the move to West Ham that placed Payet on the map as the Frenchman enjoyed a brilliant start to his career in England, making the PFA Player of the Year Shortlist. Some excellent performances in the Premier League persuaded France coach Didier Deschamps to reinstate Payet into his starting line-up and the midfielder paid the coach back with some scintillating displays on international stage.
Excellent with the ball at his feet and very dangerous from set pieces, Payet quickly established himself as one of Europe’s top midfielders, with the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and other top clubs now after his signature.

Stade Rennais Football Club or simply Rennes is a French football club which was founded on March 10, 1901. The club is one of the founding members of the French Ligue 1 and they are nicknamed Les Rouges et Noirs. Roazhon Park is the club’s home ground and the venue can hold 29.778 people. Rennes have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy, but they won Coupe de France title on two occasions (1964/1965, 1970/1971). Speaking of Coupe de la Ligue, les Rouges et Noirs made it to the final of the competition in the 2012/2013 season, but they were beaten by Saint Etienne (1-0) in the title game at Stade de France.
