Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Stevenage will be aiming to retain their spot in top three when they host Bradford City to their Broadhall Way in the League Two round 31. The Boro have been impressive on home soil this season, and it is no surprise the odds for home triumph have been dropping. Since Jake Reeves suffered an injury on the stroke of half-time against Sutton, Jake Forster-Caskey is likely to sneak into the starting XI.
Meanwhile, the Bantams have drawn each of their last three league fixtures, but given Stevenage’s excellent home record, we do not believe that Mark Hughes’ men are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s showdown. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Andy Cook, who scored his 14th goal of the season in the draw with Mansfield Town. There are no fresh selection worries in the away side.
Highlighted Player (Jake Taylor):
Jake Taylor is a product of the Reading football academy who plays for Exeter City in the League Two. Taylor spent his youth career at Reading, and he continued wearing the blue and white shirt at senior level.
After scoring two goals in 31 appearances with the Royals in the league, the English footballer spent several seasons on loan at the likes of Aldershot Town, Exeter City, Cheltenham Town, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient, and Motherwell. In 2016 Jake Taylor returned to Exeter City, signing a permanent deal with the St James Park outfit.
Despite being born in Ascot, England, on December 1, 1991, Taylor represents Wales on the international stage. He has ten caps with the Wales U21 team, and he made his debut with the Dragons at the senior level in a 2-1 win over Cyprus on October 13, 2014. His primary position is central midfielder.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
