Our prediction for this MLS match:
Sunday’s football match at Soldier Field pits together Chicago Fire and DC United, the two teams who are almost level on points in the MLS standings. Chicago Fire aim to build on a 3-2 win over Inter Miami, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Both Oregel and Navarro are back from international duties, while Switzerland ace Xherdan Shaqiri remains in the recovery room alongside Justin Reynolds, Federico Navarro, and Jairo Torres.
The capital club, on the other hand, kicked off the new MLS campaign in style, with the team beating Toronto 3-2 at home, but they suffered three defeats in the previous four league matches. Given their shaky defence, we do not believe that DC United are capable of spoiling Chicago Fire’s party at Soldier Field. As for the visiting team, all Jacob Greene, Andy Najar, Pedro Santos, Martin Rodriguez, Brendan Hines-Ike, and Brad Smith remain in the recovery room.
