Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Monday’s football game between Leeds United and Liverpool will bring down the curtain on the Premier League round 31. The Whites have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating both Wolves and Nottingham Forest, while losing to Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Since Leeds experienced all sorts of problems at the back in the 5-1 defeat to Palace, home win should not be considered. Rodrigo is pushing for a start, while all Wober, Dallas, and Adams are likely to miss the game with injuries.
The Reds, on the other hand, were more than unfortunate not to beat Arsenal (2-2) at the weekend, with the team missing a golden opportunity to seal the victory in the dying minutes of the match. Liverpool are more of a team than Leeds United, and we predict that Jurgen Klopp’s troops are going to prove their worth on the field. Both Thiago Alcantara and Roberto Firmino are pushing for a start, while all Luis Diaz, Bajcetic, and Keita are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Mohamed Salah):
Mohamed Salah is considered one of the best African players. Salah began his senior career at El Mokawloon, scoring 11 goals in 41 league appearances for the club and in 2012 he moved to Europe, signing a four-year deal with Swiss side Basel.
The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a striker as well was producing outstanding displays for the RotBlau from 2012 to 2014 and, as a result, Chelsea chiefs decided to sign him on 26 January, 2015 for a fee of £11 million. Mohamed Salah, though, failed to impress in the Premier league and one year later he was sent on loan to Fiorentina.
After making 16 league appearances for the Viola in the Serie A, the left-footed winger signed a loan deal with Roma on 6 August, 2015. The Romans made the contract permanent on 3 August, 2016. Speaking of his international career, Salah made his Egypt debut on 3 September, 2011 in a 2-1 loss to Sierra Leone. It has to be noted that he was named Roma’s player of the season (2015/2016).
Highlighted Team (Leeds United):
Leeds United is one of the clubs that won the FA Cup. The Whites outplayed Arsenal in the final of the prestigious competition back in 1972, but they clinched the League Cup trophy as well. Leeds United faced the Gunners in the 1967/1968 League Cup final and it has to be noted that Terry Cooper scored the winner for the Whites.
Leeds play their home games at Elland Road and the capacity of the stadium is 37,914. The club was founded in 1919 and they have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies ever since (1968/1969, 1973/1974, 1991/1992). Leeds United made it to the Champions League final in 1975, but they were beaten by Bayern Munich in the title clash.
The Whites were impressive under David O’Leary. The likes of Jonathan Woodgate, Lee Bowyer, Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Ian Harte were part of the Elland Road outfit back then and they did well to reach the semis of the Champions League in 2001.
