Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
After defeating struggling French powerhouse Lyon on the road, Lille will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they face Metz in the Ligue 1 round 14. Les Dogues aim to climb to the Champions League berth and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at les Grenats. Canada forward Jonathan David should keep his place in the starting XI after scoring the opener against les Gones, while all Ismaily, Bafode Diakite, and Tiago Djalo continue to miss out with injuries.
Metz, on the other hand, have been showing signs of improvement up front of late, with the team beating both Nantes (3-1) and Lorient (3-2) in style, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Lille. Laszlo Boloni’s troops, though, failed to find the net in the previous three meetings with Lille at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. The visitors will be without Maxime Colin, Christophe Herelle, Oscar Estupinan, and Aboubacar Lo in Sunday’s encounter.
Highlighted Player (Benjamin André):
Benjamin Andre is a French footballer, who began his career at Stade Raphaelois youth team. At the age of 16 Andre moved to Ajaccio and he played for the first team from 2008 to 2014. The right-footed midfielder scored 12 goals in 187 appearances in the league for the Corsican team and in the summer of 2014 he moved to fellow French club Rennes.

The French player made provided three assists for his teammates in 36 appearances for Rennes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign and the club chiefs decided to extend his contract in June, 2017. His deal with the Roazhon Park outfit should expire on June 30, 2022.
Benjamin Andre, who was born in Nice on August 3, 1990, has seven caps for France U21 team. The Rennes footballer plays as a central midfielder, but he is often used as both left and right midfielder.
Highlighted Team (Metz):
Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference).
However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club.
Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
