Cartagena will be aiming to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Burgos and Huesca when they take on Valencia in the Copa del Rey last 32. Cartagena have been struggling at the back of late and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in Sunday’s clash. Jose Fontan is back from suspension, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home side.
Los Che, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal. As Valencia have been in a much better form of late than Cartagena, we are tempted to bet on the La Liga side. In their last meeting in the Spanish Cup Valencia defeated Cartagena 2-1 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. Selim Amallah is on international duty, while both Thierry Correia and Mouctar Diakhaby are banned for the match.

Founded on March 18, 1919, Valencia FC are a Spanish football club that compete in La Liga. Los Che play their home games at Estadio de Mestalla, the stadium which was opened back in May, 1923. The capacity of the venue is 50,000. Seeing that bats are quite common in Valencia, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Bats.
Valencia made it to the Champions League final on two occasions (2000, 2001), but they were beaten in the title games by Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen respectively. The Spanish club, though, did well to win the UEFA Cup title in the 2003/2004 season, with the team beating Marseille in the final of the competition.
