Our prediction for this Championship match:
Buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rotherham United, Plymouth will be aiming to escape the danger one when they take on Queens Park Rangers in the Championship round 42. The Pilgrims are determined to avoid relegation to League One and we are positive that they will leave their hearts on the field in Tuesday’s clash. Darko Gyabi remains on the sidelines with a groin problem, but the talented midfielder should be the only absentee in the visiting team.
The Hoops, on the other hand, are only four points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the trip to Devon. As Queens Park failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on the home side. As for the visitors, both Lyndon Dykes and Paul Smyth are pushing for a start, while both Rayan Kolli and Taylor Richards continue to miss out through injuries.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Archer):
Jordan Archer is an English goalkeeper who plays for Millwall in the Championship. Archer started his career in the youth team of Charlton Athletic and he moved to Tottenham Hotspur football academy in 2009. However, he did not see a first-team football at White Hart Lane as he was inmeditely sent on loan to Harrow Bourough (2011).
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Bishop’s Storford, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton he signed a loan deal with Millwall in 2015 and he was soon offered a permanent contract with the capital club. Jordan Archer made 39 appearances for the Lions in the 2016/2017 League One campaign and it has to be noted that he managed to keep 11 clean sheets n the process.
Millwall secured promotion to the Championship at the end of the season as they defeated Bradford City in the final of the League One play-offs. Jordan Archer was born in Walthamstow, England on April 12, 1993.
Highlighted Team (Plymouth):
Nicknamed the Pilgrims, Plymouth are a professional football club that host their rivals at Home Park. The stadium, which can hold up to 18,600 people, was built in 1892 and opened the following year. Plymouth footballers wear dark green jerseys and white shorts when playing in front of home fans, while light green and white are the dominant colours of their away kit.
The Pilgrims made it to the FA Cup semi-finals in the 1983-84 season, with the team advancing to the Football League Cup semis on two occasions (1964-65, 1973-74). The Pilgrims recorded their biggest win against Millwall on January 16, 1932, with the team beating the Lions 8-1, and they repeated the success in 1994 as they rolled over Hartlepool United in the Second Division.
The club suffered their heaviest defeat against Stoke City (0-9) on December 17, 1960. Fellow Devon teams Exeter City and Torquay United are seen as the club’s fiercest rivals.
