Our prediction for this Championship match:
Vicarage Road will host Saturday’s football game between Watford and Stoke City, the two teams who defeated Millwall and Coventry respectively on Matchday 1. The Hornets are brimming with confidence following a thrilling EFL Cup win (5-0) over MK Dons, but this game will be anything but a walk in the park for Tom Cleverley’s troops. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Potters, on the other hand, defeated the Sky Blues thanks to Lewis Baker’s goal. As the 29-year-old midfielder produced a fine display in the EFL Cup triumph over Carlisle United as well, we are tempted to place our bets on Watford this time out. Both Michael Rose and Sam Gallagher are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team. In their last meeting at the venue the two sides played out a 1-1 draw.
