Our prediction for this Championship match:
Luton Town will look to record their first win of the season when they take on Queens Park Rangers in the round 4 opener. The Hatters have yet to find their form, but Friday’s football game could be the turning point for Rob Edwards’ troops. All Daki Hashioka, Jacob Brown, and Marvelous Nakamba are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Hoops, on the other hand, failed to turn their dominance into victory in a 1-1 draw against nine-man Plymouth and given their difficulties on the road, we believe that the time has come for Luton to record their first victory of the process. Both Ilias Chair and Lucas Andersen remain in the recovery room, while important midfielder Jake Clarke-Salter returns to the starting XI after coming as a substitute in the EFL Cup triumph over their Friday’s rivals.
Highlighted Player (Andros Townsend):
Andros Townsend is an English footballer who plays for Crystal Palace. He started his professional career at Tottenham Hotspur (2009), but he played for a number of English clubs on loan in the past (Yeovil Town, Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Ipswich Town, Watford, Millwall, Leeds United, Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers).
On 26 January, 2016, Townsend signed a deal with Newcastle United for a fee of £12 million. However, following Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign, Andros joined Crystal Palace on a five-year contract as the Eagles decided to match his £13 million release clause. Andros Townsend plays as a winger and he made his England debut on 11 October, 2013. Back then England recorded a 4-1 win over Montenegro in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Crystal Palace footballer was born in Leytonstone on 16 July, 1991 and he attended Rush Croft Sports College. Andros Townsend is a Tottenham Hotspur fan, but he couldn’t quite realise his potential while at White Hart Lane.
Highlighted Team (QPR):
Queens Park Rangers are well known as QPR. The capital club was founded in 1886 and Loftus Road Stadium is QPR’s ground. Loftus Road Stadium was opened in 1904 and the capacity of the venue 18,439. However, it has to be noted that no less than 35,353 spectators watched the game between QPR and Leeds on 27 April, 1974.
The Hoops finished the 1975/1976 First Division campaign in second position in the standings, just behind champions Liverpool. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but Queens Park Rangers made it to the FA Cup final in 1982 as well.
QPR were beaten by fellow capital club Tottenham Hotspur in the title game, but they did well to lift the League Cup trophy in 1967. Queens Park’s main rivals are Brentford, Chelsea and Fulham, but other clubs based in London are considered QPR’s rivals as well. The colour of QPR’s shirts is blue and white.
