Our prediction for this World Cup 2026 match:
Denmark will be aiming to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to France when they face Australia at Al Janoub Stadium in the final group game. The Danes face a must-win situation in the decider, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Socceroos. Both Martin Braithwaite and Kasper Dolberg are pushing for recalls as boss Kasper Hjulmand should opt to make changes to the team that faced les Tricolores. Thomas Delaney has been ruled out with injury.
The nominal hosts, on the other hand, proved their worth in a hard-fought 1-0 win over Tunisia, but they will have a big fish to fry in Wednesday’s clash. Denmark are more of a team than Australia, and we believe that the time has come for Kasper Hjulmand’s men to record their first win of the process. Martin Boyle misses the tournament with a knee injury, while there are no fresh selection worries in Graham Arnold’s team.
Highlighted Player (Christian Eriksen):
Christian Eriksen born on 14th of February 1992 is a Danish football who plays as a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur. Eriksen played in the youth of Odense BK and Ajax Amsterdam where he got picked up by Tottenham Hotspur after 3 seasons.
On 29th of August Eriksen got transferred for 13 million euro and is one of the most expensive Danish football players of all time. Christian Eriksen made his debut in March 2010 for the Danish national team and was the youngest player during the World Cup in 2010.
So far Eriksen played for over 200 club games for Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur. Eriksen is known for his great passing skills and game overview. In his career Eriksen managed to become national champion with Ajax 3 times and won several individual prices for being one of the most talented player of the moment.
Highlighted Team (Australia):
Australia are a member of the Asian Football Confederation as they left the Oceania Football Confederation in 2006. The Socceroos made it to the World Cup finals for the first time back in 1974, but they failed to make it to the knockout stages of the showpiece tournament in Germany. In 2006, though, the Australians did well to advance to the last 16 of the FIFA World Cup, but eventual champions Italy proved to be a big catch for Guus Hiddink’s troops.
Australia participated at the World Cup finals in 2010 and 2014 as well, but they failed to impress at the tournaments in South Africa and Brazil respectively. In 2015 the Socceroos won the Asian Cup trophy, with the team beating South Korea in the title game and that is regarded as the team’s biggest success.
Tim Cahill is considered one of the most famous footballers that played for Australia and it has to be noted that the former Premier League star scored his 48th goal for the Socceroos in a 1-0 win over UAE in September, 2016.
