Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Stade du Pays de Charleroi will host Sunday’s football game between Charleroi and Mechelen, the two mid-table sides. The Black and Whites aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Club Brugge, and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach against Mechelen. Since Charleroi produced a fine display in the unlucky defeat to the title holders, home win should be considered. Both Shamar Nicholson and Steeven Willems are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The visitors, on the other hand, quickly bounce back from a heavy 7-2 loss to Anderlecht, with the team beating Leuven 2-0 at home ground. Mechelen, though, are not regarded as good travelers, and that is the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. All Iebe Swers, Thibault Peyre, and Dylan Dassy are sidelined with injuries, while Alec Van Hoorenbeeck and Niklo Dailly are major doubts.
