Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Borussia Dortmund will try to recover from a shocking 2-0 loss to Bochum when they take on Union Berlin in the closing match of Saturday’s program. The Yellow-Blacks failed to impress in the Revierderby Lite, but it is well known that they are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Returnee Salih Ozcan is pushing for a start, while defender Julian Ryerson is back from suspension.
The capital club, on the other hand, produced a below-par performance in a 2-1 loss to Borussia M’gladbach and given Borussia Dortmund’s need for points, home win should be considered. Robert Skov limped off with injury in the last league match, joining the likes of Kevin Vogt, Yannic Stein, and Aljoscha Kemlein in the recovery room. Defender Christopher Trimmel returns to the starting XI after serving his one-game ban at the weekend. Tom Rothe is widely expected to replace Skov in the starting line-up.
Highlighted Player (Julian Brandt):

Julian Brandt is one of the most promising wingers in Germany. He started playing football in his hometown, Bremen, at SC Borgfeld, moving to FC Oberneuland, after which he joined VLF Wolfsburg’s youth academy. With 27 goals in his 48 games during two seasons with the Wolves, Brandt recommended himself to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract in January 2014.
The 22-year-old winger prefers to play on the left flank, but he can also provide help on the right side, as well as an attacking midfielder. During the season 2015/2016, Julian Brandt netted goals in six consecutive games, becoming the youngest player since Gerd Muller to achieve this.
The good performances in the season made Joackim Low call the youngster in Germany’s preliminary 27-man squad for the Euro 2016 and he made his first appearance for the senior squad in May 2016, against Slovakia. He was a part of the Germany squad at the Summer Olympics, where Brandt and his teammates won the silver medal. In the summer of 2018, Julian Brandt made the World Cup team.
Highlighted Team (Union Berlin):

Union Berlin are a German football club originally founded back in 1906. Die Eisernen play home games at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei which can hold up to 22,012 spectators. Union Berlin’s home kit is red, with the team wearing white shirts and white shorts on the travels.
Union Berlin finished the 1923 domestic campaign as runners-up, with the team suffering a 3-0 loss to Hamburger SV in the title game. Speaking of the club’s biggest success in the German Cup, die Eisernen made it to the final of the competition in the 2000/2001 season. Schalke, though, proved to be a big catch for Union Berlin in the decider, with Jorg Bohme scoring a brace for die Knappen (2-0).
Union Berlin will face their local rivals Hertha in the 2019/2020 Bundesliga season as they secured promotion to the German top flight, but Hansa Rostock are considered the club’s main rivals.
