Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
After failing to break the deadlock in a goalless draw with St. Pauli, Leipzig will look to return to winning ways when they welcome Augsburg to their Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Even though key attacker Benjamin Sesko has yet to find his goal-scoring touch, he should keep his place in the starting XI, while Lois Openda is widely expected to replace Yussuf Poulsen up front.
All Castello Lukeba, Kevin Kampl, Assan Ouedraogo, and Xaver Schlager are injured for the home team. The Bavarians, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Mainz. As Leipzig outclassed Augsburg 3-0 in their last meeting at Red Bull Arena, home win should definitely be considered. To make things even worse for the visiting team, midfielder Samuel Essende is banned for the match.
Highlighted Player (Fredrik Jensen):
Fredrik Jensen is a Norwegian footballer who plays for Belgian side Zulte Waregem as a midfielder. Jensen started his senior career at Odd and he made no less than 129 appearances for the Norwegian club (league) from 2012 to 2017. The 185-cm tall player then decided to take a step forward in his career and he joined Zulte Waregem in the summer of 2017.
Fredrik Jensen signed a four-year deal with the Belgian outfit and his contract should expire on June 30, 2021. Jensen’s main position is defensive midfield, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. The Zulte Waregem footballer, whose preferred foot is right, has yet to make his debut for Norway at senior level.
Fredrik Jensen made his Zulte Waregem debut in a thrilling 5-0 win over Eupen, with the Norwegian midfielder coming as a substitute for Onur Kaya in the dying minutes of the match. Jensen was born in Skien, Norway on May 18, 1993.
Highlighted Team (Leipzig):
Leipzig are a professional football club founded in 2009. Die Bullen (The Bulls) were unbeaten in the 2012/2013 Regionalliga Nordost and, as a result, they secured promotion to the 3. Liga. After finishing the 2013/2014 as 3rd. Liga campaign in second place in the standings, Leipzig were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga and they competed in the German second tier for two seasons.
Despite suffering a loss to Karlsruher on the last day of the 2015/2016 round in the 2. Bundesliga campaign, die Bullen secured promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time ever. Leipzig play their home games at Red Bull Arena (42,959) and it has to be noted that the stadium was opened in 1954.
Die Bullen wear white shirts and red shorts while their away kit is blue and yellow. Ralph Hasenhuttl was appointed as the team’s manager at the end of the 2015/2016 season and you should know that the likes of Ralf Rangnick, Achim Beierlorzer, Alexander Zorniger, Peter Pacult, Tomas Oral and Tino Vogel were in charge of the team in the past as well.
