Our prediction for this Championship match:
Bournemouth and Cardiff City square off against each other at Vitality Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Wednesday’s program. The Cherries aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Queens Park Rangers, but they will have to do it without injured trio Solanke – Stacey – Cook. Groeneveld, on the other hand, is rated doubtful for the match.
The Bluebirds, on the other hand, have been in a splendid form of late, with the team eyeing their sixth consecutive win in the Championship. Cardiff City are brimming with confidence ahead of the midweek clash, and given Bournemouth’s ups and downs in February, we are tempted to put our money on draw. All Jordi Osei-Tutu, Lee Tomlin, Isaac Vassell, and Sol Bamba are likely to miss the game with injuries for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Joshua King):
Joshua King is a Norway international who plays for Premier League side Bournemouth as a striker. King was born in Oslo on January 15, 1992 and he started his career at the youth team of Romsas. In 2006 the Norwegian footballer moved to Valerenga and two years later he joined Premier League giants Manchester United. Nonetheless, he did not see any game action at Old Trafford as he was immediately sent on loan to Preston.
Joshua King played for the likes of Borussia M’gladbach, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers on loan as well before signing a permanent deal with the Riversiders in January, 2013. The pacey attacker scored only three goals in 56 appearances in the league for Blackburn Rovers, but in 2015 Bournemouth chiefs decided to bring him to Vitality Stadium.
Joshua King impressed in the 2016/2017 Premier League campaign, with the Norwegian striker scoring 16 goals in 36 appearances for the Cherries. King provided two assists for his teammates in the process as well.
Highlighted Team (Cardiff):
Cardiff City are a Welsh football club that compete in the English second tier (Championship). In 2009 they moved from Ninian Park to Cardiff City Stadium, the venue that officially holds 33,280 spectators.
The Bluebirds played their first ever Premier League match on 18 August, 2013, but they were beaten by West Ham United (0-2) on their debut in the English top flight. However, a week later Fraizer Campbell (two goals) and Aron Gunnarson helped Cardiff City record their first ever win in the Premier League.
The Bluebirds outplayed Manchester City back then, but they eventually dropped to the Championship at the end of the season. Fellow Welsh outfit Swansea City are considered Cardiff’s fiercest rivals and the two teams take on each other in the South Wales derby.
The colour of Cardiff City’s home kit is blue, whilst they wear red shirts and shorts when playing on the travels.
