Our prediction for this Championship match:
Bristol City play host to Huddersfield Town at their Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship round 23. The Robins have been impressive at home ground of late, with the team beating all Barnsley, Stoke, and Derby at home, while sharing the spoils with Blackburn Rovers. Forward Alex Scott has joined the likes of Joe Williams, Nathan Baker, Andy King, Tommy Conway, and Robbie Cundy in the recovery room.
The Terriers, on the other hand, failed to win the previous four league fixtures. Huddersfield Town do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the trip to Bristol, and given the Robins’ fine home record, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. In their last meeting at Ashton Gate Stadium Bristol City defeated Huddersfield Town 2-1, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. All Jonathan Hogg, Aaron Rowe, Alex Vallejo, and Pipa are out of contention with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Nathan Baker):
Nathan Baker is a product of Aston Villa football academy. The left-footed defender played 115 games for Aston Villa in the league and it has to be noted that he scored only goal for the club during his spell at Villa Park. Nathan Baker is used as both centre-back and left-back and the 189-cm-tall footballer is very good in the air.
Nathan Baker was born in Worcester, England on April 23, 1991 and he currently plays for Bristol City in the Championship. After ending his loan spell with the Robins, he signed a permanent deal with the club on July 28, 2017 for an undisclosed fee. Nathan Baker has yet to make his debut for England national team, but he has three caps for England U21 team.
Nathan Baker made his debut for the under-21 squad against Iceland back in 2011. The English footballer has a contract with Bristol City which expires on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Huddersfield):
Back in 1926 Huddersfield Town became the first English club to win three straight domestic trophies. Since 1908 the Terriers were playing at Leeds Road, but in 1994 John Smith’s Stadium became home of Huddersfield Town. The club play in the English second tier (Championship) and the colour of the their home kit is blue and white (stripes).
Huddersfield Town were founded in 1910 and just three years later they entered the Football League. In 1926 the Terriers won their last domestic trophy, but they did well finishing runners up in the FA Cup 1920. The club’s biggest rivals are Leeds United and it has to be noted that Huddersfield Town have better head-to-head record of the two teams.
Bradford City are considered Huddersfield’s local rivals as well, but there are small rivalries with Barnsley, Halifax Town, Manchester City and Oldham Athletic. The club’s chairman is Dean Hoyle.
