Our prediction for this Championship match:
Buoyed by a thrilling 4-0 win over Huddersfield, Coventry City will look to stay in the playoffs berth when they take on Hull City on Matchday 36. The Sky Blues have been in a fine form of late, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to secure a top-six finish. A man to watch in the home team will be Sweden forward Viktor Gyokeres, who scored two goals in the last league match, while adding one assist. All Jamie Allen, Kasey Palmer, Ben Sheaf, Fabio Tavares, and Callum OHare remain on the sidelines with injuries.
The Tigers, on the other hand, defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at the weekend, but given their poor winless run on the road, we predict that the hosts are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s clash. As for the away team, all Nathan Baxter, Salah Oulad M’Hand, and Vaughn Covil are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Simon Moore):
Simon Moore is an English goalkeeper who plays for Sheffield United in the Championship. Moore began his career at Brading Town and, after playing 49 games in the league for the club, he moved to Farnborough in 2008. However, due to the lack of first-team football, Simon Moore left the club at the end of the season, with the 191-cm-tall shoot-stopper signing a contract with Brentford.
The English goalkeeper, who was born in Sandown on May 19, 1990, made his debut for the Bees in May, 2010 against Hartlepool United, coming as a substitute for first-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. After ending his loan spell with Basingstoke Town in January 2011, he moved to Cardiff City and it has to be noted that he made 17 appearances for the Welsh outfit.
In the summer of 2016 he signed a deal with Sheffield United for a fee of around £500,000 and he did remarkably well to keep 17 clean sheets in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. The Blades finished the season in top position in the standings and, no doubt, Simon Moore’s brilliant saves helped the club secure promotion to the English second tier.
Highlighted Team (Hull City):
Hull City are a professional football club that was founded back in 1904. The Tigers used to play their home games at Boothferry Park, but they moved to the KC Stadium in 2002. The stadium capacity is 24,450.
Hull impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and, as a result, they returned to the English Premier League. Hull City fans consider Leeds United their main rivals, but Sheffield United are regarded as Hull’s fierce rivals as well. Steve Bruce took over the reins at the club in 2012 and the experienced tactician helped the team book a place in the 2013/2014 FA Cup final, but Arsenal proved to be a big catch for the Tigers in the title decider.
Hull City finished the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign in 16th place in the standings to achieve their highest ever top flight finish. It has to be noted that Curtis Davies was named the team’s player of the year in the 2013/2014 season.
