Our prediction for this Championship match:
Saturday’s football game at Coventry Building Society Arena pits together Coventry City and Swansea City, the two mid-table sides. The Sky Blues failed to extend their winning run to five games at the weekend, with the team losing to Reading, but their fine run of results at home is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Swansea.
All Tyler Walker, Frankaty Dabo, and Matt Godden are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. Meanwhile, the Swans failed to turn their dominance into goals in a 1-0 loss to Norwich City, and given their difficulties up front, we do not believe that they are capable of upsetting Coventry City on the road. As for the visiting side, both Obafemi and Walsh have been struggling through injuries of late.
Highlighted Player (Simon Moore):
Simon Moore is an English goalkeeper who plays for Sheffield United in the Championship. Moore began his career at Brading Town and, after playing 49 games in the league for the club, he moved to Farnborough in 2008. However, due to the lack of first-team football, Simon Moore left the club at the end of the season, with the 191-cm-tall shoot-stopper signing a contract with Brentford.
The English goalkeeper, who was born in Sandown on May 19, 1990, made his debut for the Bees in May, 2010 against Hartlepool United, coming as a substitute for first-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. After ending his loan spell with Basingstoke Town in January 2011, he moved to Cardiff City and it has to be noted that he made 17 appearances for the Welsh outfit.
In the summer of 2016 he signed a deal with Sheffield United for a fee of around £500,000 and he did remarkably well to keep 17 clean sheets in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. The Blades finished the season in top position in the standings and, no doubt, Simon Moore’s brilliant saves helped the club secure promotion to the English second tier.
Highlighted Team (Swansea):
Swansea City AFC is a Welsh football club from Swansea and is currently playing in the English Premier League. The biggest rival Swansea City is Cardiff City which is next to Swansea City the only football club from Wales that played in the PremierLeague.
Swansea City was founded in 1912 under the name ‘Swansea Town’. The first venue where Swansea City played was The Vetch Field. The club grew in members and fans and on 23th of July 2005 Swansea City opened the Liberty Stadium which holds a capacity of 21 000 supporters. The fans of Swansea City prefer to use the non-commercial name: White Rock Stadium.
In the history of Swansea City the club managed to win the Football League One twice and the Welsh Cup 10 times. So far the Welsh club didn’t win any prizes in the highest English divisions. Known players that wore the Swansea jersey are Lampard, Toshack, Martinez and Bony.
