Our prediction for this Championship match:
John Smith’s Stadium will host Saturday’s football game between Huddersfield Town and Ipswich Town, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. The Terriers are undefeated in the previous four league matches, meaning that the confidence is soaring in the home team ahead of the visit of Ipswich. All Daniel Ward, Loick Ayina, and Oliver Turton are out of contention through injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Tractor Boys, on the other hand, aim to overtake Leicester City in top position in the standings. Ipswich Town are eyeing their fifth consecutive league win, but beating the in-form Terriers on the road is easier said than done. Kieran McKenna’s troops failed to find the net in the previous two meetings with Huddersfield and we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing more than one point from Saturday’s encounter. McKenna should have a full squad to choose from.
Highlighted Player (Vaclav Hladky):
Born in Brno on November 14, 1990, Vaclav Hladky is a Czech footballer who plays for Scottish Premier League club St Mirren as a goalkeeper. Hladky spent his youth career at the likes of FC Sparta Brno, FK Sardice, and FC Zbrojovka Brno, and he continued playing for the Zbrojovka Brno reserve team at the senior level.
The 192-cm-tall shot-stopper played for the likes of MSK Breclav (loan) Sparta Brno, FK Sardice, FC Zbrojovka Brno (senior team), and Slovan Liberec before signing a contract with St Mirren. The Czech goalkeeper made his Scottish Premiership debut on January 23, 2019, in a 4-0 loss at Celtic.
Hladky played for the Czech Republic youth teams as well, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the Czech Republic senior team. Vaclav Hladky wears the No. 1 shirt at St Mirren, and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Huddersfield):
Back in 1926 Huddersfield Town became the first English club to win three straight domestic trophies. Since 1908 the Terriers were playing at Leeds Road, but in 1994 John Smith’s Stadium became home of Huddersfield Town. The club play in the English second tier (Championship) and the colour of the their home kit is blue and white (stripes).
Huddersfield Town were founded in 1910 and just three years later they entered the Football League. In 1926 the Terriers won their last domestic trophy, but they did well finishing runners up in the FA Cup 1920. The club’s biggest rivals are Leeds United and it has to be noted that Huddersfield Town have better head-to-head record of the two teams.
Bradford City are considered Huddersfield’s local rivals as well, but there are small rivalries with Barnsley, Halifax Town, Manchester City and Oldham Athletic. The club’s chairman is Dean Hoyle.
