Our prediction for this Championship match:
All eyes will be on Carrow Road when Norwich City and WBA face each other in the Championship derby on Saturday. The Canaries have been flying high of late, with the team winning each of their last six league fixtures, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to beat WBA on home soil. Teemu Pukki, who scored a brace in a 3-2 win over Bristol City, should keep his place up front, while all Gibbs, Giannoulis, Hayden, Idah, McCallum, Rowe, and Sorensen are likely to miss Saturday’s derby with injuries.
The Baggies, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Birmingham City, and given Norwich City’s splendid form, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. Experienced midfielder Jack Livermore is pushing for a start, as well as summer signing Brandon Thomas-Asante, who has already found his goal-scoring touch. All Ajayi, Bryan, Dike, Kelly, and Rogic are sidelined with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Grant Hanley):
Grant Hanley is Scottish footballer who plays for Norwich City as defender. Hanley was born in Dumfries, Scotland, on November 20, 1991 and he started his youth career at Queen of the South. After ending his spells with Crewe Alexandra and Rangers, the Scottish player joined English club Blackburn Rovers, where he started his senior career.
After scoring eight goals in 183 appearances for the Riversiders in league matches, he moved to fellow English club Newcastle United in July, 2016 for an undisclosed fee. Grant Hanley, though, made no more than 10 appearances for Newcastle United in the Championship before joining Norwich City. The 191-cm-tall defender made his full international debut for Scotland against Wales on in May, 2011.
He scored his first goal for the Scotland national football team in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Wales. His contract with Norwich City should expire on June 30, 2021.
