Huddersfield
Preston welcome Huddersfield Town at Deepdale in a highly-anticipated Boxing Day clash. The Lilywhites have been impressive on the road of late, but they were beaten by both Millwall (2-4) and QPR (0-1) in the previous two home fixtures. All Robert Brady, Emil Riis Jakobsen, and Troy Parrott are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
Meanwhile, the Terriers are having a season to forget, with the team sitting in the relegation zone ahead of Matchday 24. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team, but all Faustino Anjorin, Oliver Turton, Yuta Nakayama, Patrick Jones, and Matty Pearson remain in the treatment room. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Huddersfield failed to find the net in the previous three league fixtures. Born in Waunarlwydd, Wales on March 28, 1991, David Cornell is a goalkeeper who plays for Northampton Town in the League Two. The 180-cm tall shot-stopper is a product of the Swansea City football school, but he did not make any appearances for the Swans at senior level.
Cornell played for the likes of Port Talbot Town, Hereford United, St. Mirren, and Portsmouth on loan before signing a permanent contract with Oldham Athletic in the 2015/2016 season. In the summer of 2016, he joined Northampton Town on a two-year deal.
Speaking of his international career, David Cornell has three caps with the Wales U21 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team. The Northampton Town goalkeeper wears the number 1 jersey, and his preferred foot is right. He has a contract with the Cobblers until June 30, 2020.

Back in 1926 Huddersfield Town became the first English club to win three straight domestic trophies. Since 1908 the Terriers were playing at Leeds Road, but in 1994 John Smith’s Stadium became home of Huddersfield Town. The club play in the English second tier (Championship) and the colour of the their home kit is blue and white (stripes).
Huddersfield Town were founded in 1910 and just three years later they entered the Football League. In 1926 the Terriers won their last domestic trophy, but they did well finishing runners up in the FA Cup 1920. The club’s biggest rivals are Leeds United and it has to be noted that Huddersfield Town have better head-to-head record of the two teams.
