Our prediction for this Championship match:
Wednesday’s football match at Deepdale pits together Preston and Stoke City, the two teams who have been struggling at the start of the new Championship campaign. The Lilywhites did well to roll over Wigan Athletic in front of home fans, but they suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Millwall and Swansea City in the first two away games of the season. Stoke City, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back of late, with the team conceding seven goals in total in previous three league fixtures.
The Potters aim to move away from the relegation zone in the Championship standings, but seeing that Preston are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the rock-bottom side will grab something from the midweek fixture. In their last meeting in the English second tier Preston recorded a 2-0 win over Stoke City.
