Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Brann will be aiming to recover from a 2-0 loss to KFUM Oslo when they take on Salzburg in the first leg of the Champions League second qualifying round. Brann are eyeing their fourth consecutive win at home ground, but they will have a big fish to fry against the Austrian vice-champions. The good news for the hosts is that defender Japhet Sery Larsen is back from the Eliteserien ban, while all Castro, Knudsen, Opsahl, and Torsvik are out of contention with injuries.
The Red Bulls, on the other hand, were producing fine performances at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, with the team beating Pachuca, losing to Real Madrid, while sharing the spoils with Al Hilal in the group stages. Salzburg are seen as favourites to win this double-header, but with Eliteserien being in a full swing, home win should be considered this time out. A man to watch in the away team will be Israel international Oscar Gloukh.
Highlighted Team (Salzburg):

Salzburg are a professional football club that compete in Austrian Bundesliga. The club’s main sponsors are Red Bull and, as a result, they are well known under the name of the Red Bulls. The club was founded on 13 September, 1933 and they won their first Austrian Bundesliga trophy in 1994.
Salzburg quickly established themselves as the dominant force in the national championship and they are the most successful Austrian club in the 21st century. It has to be noted that they won their tenth Austrian Premier League trophy in 2016, finishing the season nine points clear of second-placed Rapid Wien.
