Maccabi Haifa will try to get their revenge on Juventus for a 3-1 loss in Turin when the two teams face each other at Sammy Ofer Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Greens have yet to collect a point in the Champions League Group H, and it is no wonder the bookies see them as underdogs in this match. Dean David, who found the net in the Allianz Stadium defeat, is pushing for a start, whilst both Suf Podgoreanu and Mahmoud Jaber are sidelined with injuries.
The Bianconeri, on the other hand, aim to recover from a heart-breaking loss to Milan in the Serie A derby, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to get back on course. Tuesday’s clash comes too early for Federico Chiesa, while Angel Di Maria is back from a domestic ban. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Max Allegri’s men are eager to keep their Champions League last 16 hopes alive.

Over the years Leonardo Bonucci has established himself as one of Juve’s key defenders. The 190-cm-tall centre back, who is capable of playing as a right back as well, was born in Viterbo on 1 May, 1987 and he started his senior career at Inter. However, he made no more than one league appearance for the Nerrazzurri between 2005 and 2009.
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Treviso and Pisa, he joined Bari in 2009 and he scored one goal in 38 league games for the club. Juventus signed him in July, 2010 for a fee of €15.5 million. Leonardo Bonucci won his fifth Scudetto with Juve in the 2015/2016 season and he played in the 2014/2015 Champions League final against Barcelona. However, the Bianconeri were beaten by Barca in the title game.
Bonucci made his Italy debut on 3 March, 2010 and two years later he participated in the Euro 2012 final against Spain. The Azzurri were hammered by Vicente del Bosque’s troops 4-0 in the Olympic Stadium clash.

The Bianconeri (The White and Blacks) have won two Champions League trophies (1985, 1996) and they did well to clinch three UEFA Cup titles (1977, 1990, 1993). The Italian giants have won 32 Serie A trophies and it is well known that a number of star players were part of Juve in the past.
The likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Lilian Thuram, Filippo Inzaghi, Pavel Nedved and David Trezeguet all played for Juventus, whilst legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has yet to retire. Juve were stripped two domestic trophies during the “Calciopoli” scandal, but despite being relegated to Serie B, the club quickly brought glory days back to Turin. The capacity of the stadium is 41,475. La Vechhia Signora (The Old Lady) is yet another nickname of the club. Juve’s biggest rivals are Torino and the two local rivals take on each other in the Turin derby.
