Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Maccabi Haifa and Olympiakos Piraeus face each other at Sammy Ofer Stadium in a highly-anticipated Champions League qualifier. Maccabi Haifa aim to make amends for the Israel Super Cup defeat to Hapoel Beer Sheva, but they will have a mountain to climb in the first leg. Australia international Nikita Rukavytsya, who scored ten goals in the Israeli top flight last term, is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
The Thrylos, on the other hand, were having their ups and downs in pre-season, with the team beating AZ Alkmaar, losing to all Aris, Salzburg, and Arminia Bielefeld, while sharing the spoils with Slavia Prague. Olympiakos chiefs, though, did well to keep hold of key attackers Tiquinho and El-Arabi in the summer, which is probably the main reason why away win should be considered.
